The WaLK Team
The WaLK team is a Canadian based team of progressive rocketry. The goal of this organization is to build rockets that will fly, deploy their recovery systems and land with no damage. The team built, designed and flew the famous Sky WaLK rocket. The Lab results of this work are available on this site. The team is comprised of the following individuals: Jennifer Wang, Jessica Lydiate and Artem Kaznatcheev. Our lead engineer, Jessica Lydiate, was the main person behind the design and construction of the famous rocket. Jennifer Wang, our chief scientific consultant gathered and analyzed the data from our successful flights. Our head of research and public relations, Artem Kaznatcheev, was responsible for the construction and content of this site and for contacting and establishing interviews with other Canadian experts.
The Sky WaLK rocket has completed three flawless flights. The second flight was marked by an engine malfunction, but due to the rocket’s astounding design flight was still perfect. Even with an engine malfunction the rocket managed to take off, deploy its parachute and land safely on the ground.
The future of this team is filled with opportunities and promise though no concrete plans have been made. A possible goal is to eventually put a really big engine into the Sky WaLK rocket and launch it into space (or at least higher than it has gone before).
